Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — completely safe for beginners. PADI certified instructors guide you throughout. They brief you before the dive and are with you underwater. Netrani Island has been running dives for years with an excellent safety record. No prior experience needed whatsoever.
Yes! Scuba diving does not require swimming ability. The instructors support you in the water and guide your entire experience. You wear a wetsuit and buoyancy gear. Many first-timers who can't swim have done this dive.
Absolutely come solo. In fact, majority of our travelers come alone. The DJ bus ride itself breaks the ice — by the time you reach Honavara, you already have a crew. Groups of 30 (not 50) means everyone actually gets to know each other.
We've been on those 50-person trips. It's chaos — you don't know half the people, logistics fall apart, and it feels like a herd. At 30, everyone eats together, dives together, knows each other's names by Sunday. We believe in quality over headcount.
Yes. Every included meal (breakfasts + dinner) has both veg and non-veg options. For self-sponsored lunches, Gokarna has plenty of pure-veg and veg-friendly restaurants along the beach route.
Patchy in beach areas and during the boat ride. Homestay typically has WiFi. BSNL works better than Jio/Airtel in some coastal areas. Honestly — enjoy the digital detox. That's kind of the point.
18+ recommended for solo travel. Travelers under 18 need a parent or guardian's written consent. For scuba diving specifically, minimum age is 12 years with parental consent. There's no upper age limit!
Strictly no alcohol on the bus or during any organized activity (especially before/after scuba diving — this is a safety requirement). What you do on your own time at the beach shacks during the self-sponsored lunch break is your business.
